Martin Aprem scored the only goal of the game as BUL FC edged Onduparaka FC 1-0 to reach the quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup on Wednesday. Aprem came off the bench and scored with ten minutes to play for the Cup holders who finished with a man less after Emmanuel Kalyowa was given marching orders in the first half. It was a perfect start to the interim reign of Simeon Masaba who took charge of his first game as head coach of the Eastern Giants. The first half of the game saw limited chances from both sides and after the break, it was no different until the final fifteen minutes of the game. In the other game played, record winners Express FC beat Regional League side Paidha Black Angels 4-0 at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankuluku. Boban Zirintusa netted a brace with Faisal Ssekyanzi Faisal and Anwar Ntege adding a goal each in the one-sided encounter. BUL and Express now join other UPL sides Bright Stars and Vipers that earlier progressed to the quarterfinals.
