Reigning FUFA Women Super League Champions Kampala Queens have announced the acquisition of forward Fazila Ikwaput. According to the Queens of Soccer, Fazila will be part and present in the palace for the next two years. The former Lady Doves expressed her excitement hoping she and her teammates can achieve the set target. “I am excited to join Kampala Queens,” Fazila opened up before adding; “I hope together with my teammates can deliver the desired target of playing at the CAF Women’s Champions League final tournament.” Fazila was glad to join a side that has many national team players, noting that the chemistry will surely take shape as soon as possible. “This is more of family because majority of the players are on national team and I have played with them before,” she concluded. Ikwaput is the first signing for the local champions who are preparing for the CAF Women’s Champions League Zonal Qualifiers. This will be the second time Fazila takes part in the regional Champions League qualifiers, the first time the forward was a member of Lady Doves and they finished third. Fazila has previously played Olila High School, Lady Doves, Kerela Blasters (India), BIIK Kazygurt (Kazakhstan) and Omonia Nicosia (Cyprus).
