Ernest Olukor scored at the death of the duel as Kiira College Butiki fought from down to bag maximum points in their opening game of the inaugural FUFA TV Cup. Kiira College registered a sweet 2-1 victory against Namilyango College in the opening game of group B in the ongoing championship. It was an entertaining game that was only slowed by the quality of the playground which was soggy and muddy after a morning heavy downpour. But that would not stop the two schools to tussle over it before Kiira College made the first bite of the meat. Namilyango were awarded a penalty after forward Mark Kevin Nsimbi was tripped in the box by goalkeeper Kenneth Mutabazi. In the 17th minute, defender Mathias Erima stepped up on the occasion and placed the ball far from the goalkeeper but into the back of the net. Kiira College Butiki nearly responded on time through skipper Lyada Muhammad but his powerful shot went wide of the right goalpost. Ten minutes into the second stanza, Olukor restored parity to restore the hope of the crowds that had gone mute since their side had gone down earlier. Thereafter, Kiira College was ignited and threw all bodies upfront searching for a lead and a perfect start to the tournament. As many had concluded that it was spoils to be shared, Olukor had a different idea as he found the back of the net in stoppage time and ensure the bragging rights go to the home side.
