FUFA Women's Super League side Kampala Queens has announced the acquisition of forward Anita Namata.
Namata joined Kampala Queens on a one-year employment contract switching camps from Kenya’s Vihiga Queens FC.
The development was brought to the public via an announcement made via the club’s official media platforms.
“Namata joins us from FKF Women Premier League side Vihiga Queens on a one-year contract deal,” the statement partly reads. Moses Magogo, the club president also added that the club has finally got its long-term target.
“Kampala Queens finally lands its long-term target. Let us welcome the new queen to the palace. Always admired her to be our player and here we are with a great replacement for those who left,” he posted.
In recent days, the Queens of Soccer have lost their stars such as Fazila Ikwaput, Margret Kunihira, Grace Aluka, and Resty Nanziri.
Namata brings vast experience to the Lugogo-based side having played at top-tier clubs like Kawempe Muslim, Uganda Martyrs, and She Corporate.
