Uganda Premier League side has completed the signing of agile forward Musa Esenu in the ongoing transfer window.

Eseru joins the Jinja-based side on a two-year employment contract that will see him play for the club until 2026.

The development was made public via the official club website today Thursday, January 18, 2024.

“Speedy striker Musa Esenu returns to BUL FC on a two-year contract from Rayon Sport of Rwanda,” the statement partly reads.

Esenu returns to BUL, a club that he played for three years before seeking greener pastures in Rwanda for a semi-professional stint.

During his maiden interview with the club media team, Esenu revealed that he is glad to return to BUL, a place he calls home.

“I am so privileged to have this opportunity to return to the place I call home. I had offers elsewhere but I said no, I have to return home because I feel very happy here,” the website quoted Eseru.

“This is where I feel a sense of belonging and peace. I have a couple of colleagues here and it feels like family. BUL gave me the chance to play abroad yet I still had a running contract, so that is something I cannot forget,” he added.

“I have been keenly following the club ever since I left and the performance over the year has been impressive. So with the colleagues I have found here and with a collective effort from everyone at the club, I believe we shall be champions,” he concluded.

Esenu has previously played for Soana (currently Tooro United), KCCA FC, Vipers SC and Busoga United in the UPL.

He finds BUL enjoying the summit of the log with 33 points after playing 15 games, they will kickstart the second round against KCCA on Friday, February 9, 2024.
