Mbale Heroes FC aims to stop SC Villa in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Mbale Municipal Stadium on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Mbale Heroes kicked off the 2024-25 campaign with a 2-1 loss to Express on matchday.

However, Mbale Heroes should keep their heads high because they looked so decent on their return to the league.

Mbale Heroes captain and former SC Villa midfielder Davis Sekajja has underlined that the team is ready to stop the Jogoo and claim maximum points.

"We are very ready for the game against SC Villa. The camp is great and the boys are in a great shape because they are ready to fight for maximum points," he stated.

"I call upon all the fans to come and support the team. We did not win the previous game but we have worked upon the mistakes and expect a better outing," he added.

In the same spirit, SC Villa forward Patrick Kakande called upon his teammates to put up the fight so as to keep the winning streak alive.

"We have to put up a great fight against Mbale Heroes so that we keep the winning run alive. We have to ensure that we are consistent so that we can defend the title," he said.
