HT: Congo 0-0 Uganda

Congo Brazzaville hold Uganda at the break in the African Cup of Nations encounter on Tuesday evening.

Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put made five changes to the team that started against South Africa for tonight's match in Brazzaville.

At left-back, Isaac Muleme replaced Aziz Kayondo, while Halid Lwaliwa was preferred over Timothy Awany in central defence.

In midfield, Ronald Ssekiganda took the place of Taddeo Lwanga, while Travis Mutyaba started ahead of Allan Okello in the attacking midfield role.

Upfront, Calvin Kabuye earned his first national team cap, replacing Jude Ssemugabi in the attack.

Uganda suffered a significant setback when skipper Khalid Aucho limped off with an injury and was replaced by Bobosi Byaruhanga.

Midfielder Ronald Ssekiganda was booked in the 25th minute as he struggled to cope with the hosts' pressure in the midfield.

Action will continue in the second half to determine who could have the muscle and courage to break the deadlock.
