KCCA secured a 2-1 victory against Kuluva Rainbow in the Uganda Cup encounter at Hospital View Arena, Arua on Tuesday.

Derrick Nsibambi gave the visitors an early lead in the third minute after floating and noting home after being set up by Saidi Mayanja.

Nsibambi doubled KCCA's lead with yet another powerful header thanks to Mayanja's sweet delivery.

Isa Mubiru came close to extending KCCA's lead with a stinging effort but Kuluva's goalkeeper parried it away.

With two minutes to play in the first stanza, Shafik Kwikiriza beat his markers before pulling off a powerful effort that was pushed over the bar.

The hosts pulled back one in the 70th minute but it was not enough to get them back into the game.

The victory sends the Kasasiro Boys into the round of 16 of the prestigious tournament.
