WAFCON Qualifiers | Fixture
- Ethiopia vs Uganda - 3 pm
Uganda is set to take on Ethiopia in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at Abebe Bekila Stadium on Wednesday.
The two sides will face off in the second round after Uganda registered a 2-0 victory in the opening game at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
Zaina Namuleme and Fazila Ikwaput were on target in the stoppage time as the Crested Cranes gained advantage ahead of today's clash.
Uganda's gaffer Sheryl Botes is confident that her charges are ready for the tough clash today.
"We have prepared well and the players are ready for the game against Ethiopia," she said.
"I have been talking to the players, not allowing complacency to kick in. We could have won 2-0 at home but this contest is far from over," she added.
Goalkeeper Ruth Aturo will miss today's clash due to an injury and Daisy Nakaziro is expected to fill the void.
The winner between Uganda and Ethiopia will take on either Tanzania or Equatorial Guinea in the final round of the qualifiers.
