KCB Nkumba Volleyball Club secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Ndejje University in an interesting CAVB Zone V Championship encounter at Old Kampala Indoor Arena on Friday.

The thrilling women's encounter saw Nkumba snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in a match that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Nkumba started strong, narrowly taking the first set 25-23. However, Ndejje responded emphatically in the second, racing to an early 6-1 lead before sealing the set 25-20.

The momentum remained with Ndejje in the third set, where they limited Nkumba to just 15 points, taking a 2-1 overall lead in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

However, Nkumba regrouped and fought back in the fourth set, edging Ndejje 25-22 to force a decisive fifth set.

With everything on the line, Nkumba delivered a dominant performance, restricting Ndejje to only 10 points and sealing a well-earned victory.

This marked Nkumba’s second win of the campaign, following their triumph over Tanzania's Prison, while Ndejje suffered their second consecutive defeat, having fallen to Pipeline in their opening match.
