- KCCA 4-0 Rwenzori Lions
KCCA secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Rwenzori Lions in the Uganda Cup at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Tuesday.
James Mubezi scored a brace, while Sadat Anaku and Ettiene Katenga also found the back of the net as KCCA eased past their opponents.
Unmarked left-back Mubezi opened the scoring in the ninth minute, tapping in after Rwenzori Lions failed to clear their lines.
Usama Arafat and Anaku came close to doubling the lead in the first half but were unable to convert their chances.
However, Anaku finally extended KCCA's lead in the 47th minute, capitalizing on a precise delivery from Mubezi.
Mubezi then completed his brace in the 69th minute with another well-taken finish, making it 3-0 for the hosts.
Katenga sealed the victory in stoppage time with KCCA’s fourth goal, capping off a near-perfect evening for the team.
The win sends KCCA into the quarterfinals as they continue their pursuit of an 11th Uganda Cup title.
