Uganda Women’s National Football Team, Crested Cranes, face Algeria in a life-saving clash in the ongoing WAFCON qualifiers.

The two sides will face off in a tight clash at Stade Olympic D’Oran in a night football fiesta.

The first leg held at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru ended 2-1 in favour of Algeria who now have an upper hand in the tie.

Imane Chabel and Habiba Karchouni scored for Algeria while Crested Cranes assistant head coach Fauzia Najjemba pulled back one for Uganda.

While talking in a pre-match conference, Crested Cranes coach Ayub Khalifa revealed that his troops have got all it takes to overturn the result.

“I believe the girls will do all it takes to see that we win. We have prepared well and I am confident the girls will get the job done,” he said.

Uganda is chasing a third appearance on the continent’s grand stage as far as Women's football is concerned.

The aggregate winner will play the victor between Burundi and Ethiopia.
