Kitara head coach Brian Ssenyondo and BUL forward Alex Kitata were named as September and October’s best UPL coach and player respectively.

The duo were rewarded accolades in the ceremony that happened at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo on Wednesday evening.

To win the accolade, Ssenyondo managed to beat stiff competition from BUL head coach Abbey Kikomeko and NEC’s head coach Hussein Mbalangu.

While Kitata also stood shoulders above Maroons’ forward Fred Amaku and Kitara’s goal poacher Denis Omedi.

Kitata, Amaku, and Omedi scored three goals each but the winner of the accolade managed to spice up his goal tally with two assists.

At the end of October, Kitara FC and BUL FC sat at the helm of the log with 15 points apiece after five games though the Royals were a step in front due to their goal tally.

After playing seven games, BUL still leads the log with 18 points while Kitara comes second with two points less.
