  • Wakiso Giants 0-0 Express

Wakiso Giants and Express fired blanks in a dull Uganda Premier League affair played at Kabaka Kyabaggu on Friday evening.

Kabaka Kyabaggu's surface was a bit unplayable due to the heavy downpour that occurred before the game.

Express suffered a blow as Derrick Ngobi was stretchered off after suffering an injury before Andrew Kaggwa came to fill the void.

Andrew Kawooya nearly gave the visitors a lead but his powerful effort failed to find the target by inches in the 40th minute.

Four minutes later, Express custodian Abdul Kimera thwarted Hassan Ssenyonjo's powerful effort to keep the scoreline intact.

The first 45 minutes came to an end and no team had found the back of the net on the day.

In the 65th minute, Express made a double change introducing Eddy Ssebandeke and Kenneth Asiimwe for Alpha Ssali and Marvin Oshaba.

Ten minutes later, Kawoya put to waste an open look chance after his effort was blocked by defender Paul Willa.

The point sends Express to the fifth position on the log with 12 points while Wakiso Giants are 14th with only five points.

Next on the menu, Express will host Maroons FC on Saturday, November 25 at Wankulukuku while Wakiso will visit NEC FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium on the same day.
