Uganda Premier League champions Express Football Club host Wakiso Giants on Friday afternoon at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles are searching for their first home win of the season and third overall.

The two sides are separated by a four-point gap, with Wakiso Giants in fourth place and Express three places behind.

Express has won the previous two meetings between the sides but the Purple Sharks are in fine form having won four on the bounce.

Wasswa Bbosa, the head coach of Express, is aware of the threat Wakiso poses.

"Following our goalless draw against SC Villa, we’ve since been working on our finishing so that we’re able to score more. As you know if you don’t score goals you can’t win games and what we want is to score. We know Wakiso Giants are in fine form but the boys are aware and pumped up to earn our first league win at home this season," he said.

Bbosa's opposite, Alex Gitta, is confident and says it is the right time for his side to take on Express.

“We face the defending champions and respect them for that. But we are confident and in high spirits to take them on and there is no right timing than this.”
