All is set for the 2022 East and Central Africa Clubs Netball Championship.

The tournament will be hosted by Uganda at the Kamokya Community Sports Center starting on Sunday, 8th May, and will run until 15th May.

Local clubs NIC (Defending Champions), Prisons, KCCA, and UPDF will be joined by those from Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar for the week-long championship.

The tournament was officially launched today at the Uganda Netball Federation offices in Old Kampala and in attendance were members of the organizing committee Rosette Kaala (chairperson) and Francis Banya, the federation CEO.

“We are excited as UNF to be hosting the East and Central Clubs Championship. This is one tournament of great significance to the development of the game in the region,” Banya said.

“We as players are ready, we don’t have any pressure and are determined to defend the title and we are ready to humble whoever comes our way,” she said.

  • Female – JKT Mbweni, uhamiagi, Tamisemi
  • Male – Muungano, Arusha Jiji

Zanzibar

  • Female – JKU, KVZ
  • Male – JKU

Kenya

  • Female – Prison NC
  • Male – Prisons NC

Uganda

  • Female – NIC (Defending Champions), Prison NC, KCCA NC, UPDF
  • Male – Kampala University (Defending Champions), WOB
