Ugandan female middle-distance runner Halimah Nakaayi claimed the USATF Foundation Women’s 800m at the Sound Running’s On Track Fest on Saturday in Los Angeles, California. The 2019 World Champion and bronze medallist at the 2022 World Indoor Championships beat Aaliyah Miller, Sadi Henderson, and Georgie Hartigan to take the crown at Mt Sac’s Hilmer Lodge Stadium. Nakayi posted 2:00.21 in the event and was followed by Claire Seymour who ran 2:00.81 plus McKenna Keegan in 2:02.43 for the podium places. The Sound Running’s On Track Fest is a World Athletics Continental Tour Silver level series meeting and attracted a host of top athletes who gave a shot at different records in several categories. This was Nakaayi's first outdoor event this year after running three indoor events in the month of February earlier this year in Poland and France. 800m Women's Race Results
