The Uganda U19 girls team has arrived in Gabarone, Botswana ahead of the ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifiers from September 1st to 13th.

The team guided by Head Coach Yusuf Nanga and his assistant Ivan Kakande will be staying at Avani Hotel located along 4727 Chuma Dr, Gaborone.

The youngsters will be seeking a spot at the 1st edition of the U-19 Women’s World Cup will be held in South Africa 2023.

"The U-19 girls have safely arrived at Avani Hotel Bostwana which will be their base for the next 12 days as they take part in the ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifiers," read an update from Uganda Cricket Association.

"The action starts on Saturday when the girls take on Namibia."

Uganda is in Group B alongside host Botswana, Namibia, and Sierra Leone while Group A has Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, and Mozambique.
