Kitara secured a 1-0 victory against URA in the Uganda Premier League at Royal Park, Butema on Saturday.
Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye scored the only goal as Kitara secured maximum points on the day.
The Royals have now extended their unbeaten run to 11 games without conceding a goal in the league.
Kitara last conceded a goal against Bright Stars in Wasswa Bbosa’s second game with the Royals.
Tumwesigye nodded home in the 37th minute to place the hosts in the driving seat.
The victory takes Kitara to the fourth place with 28 points, a point above the Tax Collectors.

Bright Stars have failed to arrest their poor run thus sticking in the red zone of the Uganda Premier League.
BUL secured a 2-0 victory against Bright Stars in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Saturday.
Walter Ochora and Karim Ndugwa were on target at the visitors gathered maximum points on the day.
Ochora nodded home in the 60th minute capitalising on Jerome Kirya’s well weighted corner kick.
Ndugwa doubled BUL’s lead in the 70th minute after nodding home from close range.
With 12 games left to play, Brights are 15th with 11 points, nine below the red zone.
On the other hand, the victory sends BUL to third position on 29 points.
FUFA Women Super League | Results
Kampala Queens secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory over She Corporates in a FUFA Women’s Super League encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Shamira Nalugya and Jamirah Nabulime found the back of the net as the Queens of Soccer claimed the maximum points.
Despite dominating the first half, Kampala Queens were unable to break the deadlock, with She Corporates forced to defend deep.
However, the breakthrough came in the 61st minute when Nalugya capitalized on a defensive lapse to fire home the opener.
In the 75th minute, Nabulime doubled the lead, expertly heading in a well-delivered corner kick from Nalugya.
The victory further solidifies Kampala Queens’ dominance in the league, extending their lead at the top to nine points.

Uganda’s Senior Women’s National Football Team, the Crested Cranes, were eliminated from the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Qualifiers by Ethiopia on Wednesday.
Ethiopia secured a 2-0 victory over Uganda at the Abebe Bikila Stadium, leveling the aggregate score at 2-2 after Uganda had won the first leg 2-0 at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The hosts started strongly, applying early pressure, but Uganda’s defense remained resolute. Uganda’s first real chance came in the 33rd minute when Fazila Ikwaput’s effort went wide of the target.
Goalkeeper Daisy Nakaziro made a crucial save to deny Ethiopia from a dangerous set piece at the edge of the box, as the home side continued to press forward.
Uganda nearly took the lead in the 52nd minute when Zaina Namuleme unleashed a powerful strike, but the ball sailed inches wide.
The Crested Cranes suffered a major setback in the 54th minute when Fazila Ikwaput was shown a straight red card, reducing them to 10 players.
Ethiopia took advantage of their numerical superiority, breaking the deadlock in the 66th minute through Tadesse Aregash, who capitalized on a poor clearance from goalkeeper Nakaziro.
In stoppage time, substitute Daniel Emush scored a stunning direct free kick from the edge of the box, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.

Uganda is set to take on Ethiopia in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers at Abebe Bekila Stadium on Wednesday.
The two sides will face off in the second round after Uganda registered a 2-0 victory in the opening game at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
Zaina Namuleme and Fazila Ikwaput were on target in the stoppage time as the Crested Cranes gained advantage ahead of today’s clash.
Uganda’s gaffer Sheryl Botes is confident that her charges are ready for the tough clash today.
“We have prepared well and the players are ready for the game against Ethiopia,” she said.
“I have been talking to the players, not allowing complacency to kick in. We could have won 2-0 at home but this contest is far from over,” she added.
Goalkeeper Ruth Aturo will miss today’s clash due to an injury and Daisy Nakaziro is expected to fill the void.
The winner between Uganda and Ethiopia will take on either Tanzania or Equatorial Guinea in the final round of the qualifiers.

Blacks Power has eliminated NEC to qualify for the round of 16 in the ongoing prestigious Uganda Cup tournament.
Blacks Power registered a 2-0 victory against NEC in the Uganda Cup encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Tuesday.
Innocent Maduka and Joshua Omara were on target as the visitors secured the historic victory.
The first half ended goalless despite the hosts missing several chances.
Maduka broke the deadlock in the 58th minute after a thrilling solo run before guiding the ball into the back of the net.
With nine minutes on the clock, Omara doubled the visitors’ lead with a powerful effort from close range after being set up by Maduka.
NEC will now shift attention to the Uganda Premier League where they lie second behind log leaders Vipers SC.

KCCA secured a 2-1 victory against Kuluva Rainbow in the Uganda Cup encounter at Hospital View Arena, Arua on Tuesday.
Derrick Nsibambi gave the visitors an early lead in the third minute after floating and noting home after being set up by Saidi Mayanja.
Nsibambi doubled KCCA’s lead with yet another powerful header thanks to Mayanja’s sweet delivery.
Isa Mubiru came close to extending KCCA’s lead with a stinging effort but Kuluva’s goalkeeper parried it away.
With two minutes to play in the first stanza, Shafik Kwikiriza beat his markers before pulling off a powerful effort that was pushed over the bar.
The hosts pulled back one in the 70th minute but it was not enough to get them back into the game.

Police FC secured a well-earned 2-0 victory over Bright Stars in their Uganda Cup clash at Kavumba Recreation Centre.
Umar Kasumba and Shakur Jjemba found the net as the Cops sealed their spot in the next round.
The match was played under challenging weather conditions, prompting the referee to halt proceedings for a cooling break in the 23rd minute.
Kasumba broke the deadlock four minutes later, scoring his first goal for Police since joining in the recent transfer window.
Despite dominating possession, Bright Stars struggled to make an impact in the final third.
Debutant Jjemba sealed the win in added time, ending Bright Stars’ Uganda Cup campaign.

BUL FC secured a 3-1 victory over Bugoigo Leopards in their Uganda Cup encounter at Gaddafi Arena on Monday.
The visitors took an early lead in the fourth minute when Fred Oscar unleashed a stunning strike.
Despite relentless pressure from BUL, Bugoigo Leopards managed to hold onto their slim advantage until halftime.
The hosts finally broke through in the second half, with Bakali Magumba netting the equalizer with 20 minutes left on the clock.
Six minutes later, Karim Ndugwa capitalized on a defensive lapse to put BUL in front.
Viane Ssekajugo sealed the victory, scoring the third goal to confirm BUL’s place in the round of 16.
