The winless run for the two sides continues as they played to a one-all draw in the Uganda Premier League at Paridi Stadium in Adjumani on Tuesday.

KCCA FC and Arua Hill SC came into the game without a point having lost all the earlier five games in the ongoing campaign.

The hosts nearly took the lead through Ibrahim Musa but his header bounced off the frame after connecting well with Wahab Gadafi’s corner kick on 10 minutes.

Five minutes later, Gadafi finally placed the hosts in the driving seat with a cool touch after he found himself in the right place to perfectly connect to John Rogers’ cutback.

KCCA FC made an early change calling off Mustafa Kizza who was replaced by James Mubezi.

Arua Hill SC goalkeeper Richard Anyama produced a brilliant save to deny Shaban Muhammad’s dropping header halfway into the period.

As the game grew, the hosts preferred to sit back and also run down the clock as they kept their lead safe from reach.

At the stroke of halftime, Obenchan rose highest among a forest of bodies and flicked the ball past Anyama to restore parity.

Four minutes past the hour mark, Jackson Magera introduced Abu Mayanja and Dominic Ayella to replace Shaban Muhammad and Emmanuel Loki.

With eight minutes to play, KCCA were reduced to 10 men as Peter Magambo was shown matching orders receiving the second booking.

However, Arua Hill SC has equally found a hard time to impress after losing all five opening games of the season.

In a pre-match conference, Magera revealed that the boys are ready to take the team out of the hard time they have found themselves in.

“The camp is fantastic, the boys are ready to go onto the pitch and play.

“The game is not going to be easy because Arua Hill is in the same situation as us but we came here knowing the threat ahead of us. If the boys follow the plan it is very easy for us to get the game onto our side,” he said.

After a one-all draw against UPDF FC at Bombo Barracks Grounds in Luweero, Express fans allegedly attacked assistant referee Fahad Sekayiba.

Shortly after the tragic occurrence, the Red Eagles issued a statement stressing that they were not involved in any type of hooliganism.

“Express FC is deeply saddened by the alleged attack on referee Fahad Sekayiba after the match against UPDF FC,” Express’ revealed.

“The club disassociates itself from any form of hooligan behaviour and condemns any act of violence in the strongest possible term.

“The club is aware that the alleged attack took place on the referee’s way home and is not affiliated with the club in any way,” it added.

”Express FC is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment to fans, players, and officials, and violence has no place in football.

“The club sympathises with Fahad and wishes him a quick recovery. The club will work closely with FUFA and the police to investigate this incident and bring the perpetrators to justice if called upon.

”We continue to seek any information that would assist us in identifying the individuals involved.”

Hooliganism acts have been a great challenge to the sport of football and all stakeholders should put their hands together to kick it out fully.

Express FC is positioned fifth with 11 points collected from five points in the ongoing Uganda Premier League.

The clash between Express FC and SC Villa has been called off according to a statement released by FUFA.

This comes shortly after a sad incident where Fahad Ssekayiba, an assistant referee, was attacked by reported Express FC fans.

The acts of hooliganism were staged after the one-all draw between UPDF and Express FC at Bombo Barracks Grounds on Friday.

According to the statement by FUFA, they have suspended all games involving Express FC until further notice.

“The FUFA Executive Committee has suspended all matches involving Express FC with immediate effect until an amicable solution on the safety and security of referees is found,” the statement partly reads.

“Following the ugly scenes of the Uganda Premier League match against UPDF on (Friday, October 27) in Bombo,” it continues.

“Express shall be required to cooperate with investigations by FUFA and the authorities to identify the culprits alleged to have assaulted the referee after the game.”

The scenario is the same as last season when SC Villa fans allegedly attacked referees with the Wakiso Giants doctor. The Jogoo played a number of home games in Lira away from home.

Express has come out to distance itself from the ugly scenes and promise to cooperate throughout the investigation.

The Red Eagles have started off with a fair run collecting 11 points from five games. The last thing they would want to see is their results chopped due to the ugly incident.

Lanky defender Bright Vuni scored late as UPDF FC shared spoils with Express FC in a one-all draw.

In a game played at the Bombo Barracks Grounds, as Express was celebrating the fourth win of the season, UPDF equalized late to share points on the day.

The draw put to end Express’ winning run that had lasted three games against Busoga United (2-0), KCCA FC (2-1) and Bright Stars (1-0).

Isma Kawawulo nodded the ball into the back of the net as it went in.

But from that point onwards the home side dominated the early proceedings of the game but could not go past a well-organised backline of Express FC.

The visitors’ custodian Abdul Kimera denied Faridi Rashid and Christoper Tebandeke who came so close to finding the back of the net.

The best chance of the second stanza fell to UPDF’s Gerald Kimuli but his went above the frame with the goalkeeper left to beat.

In the 80th minute, Vuni restored parity with a header that was hugely contested by the visitors.
