KCCA Football Club returned to winning ways in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory over UPDF at Bombo.

Sadat Anaku broke the deadlock after a quarter an hour of play when he got at the end of Denis Iguma's inviting ball to set the tone for what turned out to be an easy day out for the Kasasiro.

The hosts who had an off day saw Ivan Ahimbisibwe miss from the spot, a glorious chance to level matters before the interval.

Twenty minutes into the second half, Okello Donato scored into his own net before Substitute Brian Aheebwa capped the win with nine minutes to play.

KCCA temporarily reduced the gap between them and leaders Vipers to four points but the Venoms restored the seven-point lead later on with a two-nil win over Mbarara City at Kitende.

UPDF remains 9th on the 16-team table with 27 points from 24 games.
