FUFA Competitions Department has today released the fixtures for the 2024-25 Women Super League.
According to the fixtures, the new campaign will kick off on Friday, 27th September with Kampala Queens FC hosting Wakiso Hill WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium.
The aforementioned game played as a curtain-raiser for the Uganda Premier League game between KCCA FC and Kitara FC on the same day.
According to the federation, some Women’s League games will serve as curtain-raisers this season, considering that the majority of the teams are attached to men’s teams in the Uganda Premier League.
Matchday One will continue on Saturday with three fixtures. Lady Doves FC will be home to FC Tooro Queens, newly promoted teams Olila High School WFC and Amus College WFC (formerly Byafaayo Queens) will face off in Soroti while reigning Champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC will start their title defence at home to Rines SS WFC.
On Sunday, 29th September, Uganda Martyrs Lubaga will host She Corporate FC in Bugolobi while Makerere University WFC will play She Maroons FC.
The 2024/25 season also comes with an increase in the number of teams from ten to twelve, following the promotion of She Corporate FC, Amus College WFC, FC Tooro Queens FC and Olila High School WFC.
The first round will run up to 15th December 2024 and the League will break off up to 1st February 2025 when the second round will begin.
The 2024/25 season is expected to end on 3rd May 2025.

Uganda Premier League side BUL has signed exciting midfielder Ramz Kawooya in the ongoing transfer window.
Kawooya was interesting and exciting in the maiden season as a surprise package for Express FC.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website today, Monday, August 26, 2024.
“BUL is delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Ramz Kawooya on a two-year employment contract,” the statement partly reads.
Kawooya expressed his excitement after joining BUL since he expects the move to boost and grow his football career.
“I am thrilled to join BUL FC and already feeling at home,” Kawooya noted before adding; “I am impressed with the team’s ambitions, and I believe BUL FC is a team to watch.”
“My move here will undoubtedly boost boost my career, and I’m eager to help the team achieve it’s goals.”
“I promise to bring my expertise and leadership to the table, and I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things,” he concluded.
BUL will take on Vipers SC in the FUFA Super 8 final before the season finally kicks off.
KCCA FC is set to ignite the passion for football in young talented stars with their upcoming holiday football clinic.
The five-day event will take place from August 26th to 30th at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
Children aged 3 to 17, both boys and girls, are invited to participate in the clinic.
Under the guidance of experienced coaches like Jackson Magera, Saka Mpiima, and Habib Kavuma, young players will have the opportunity to develop their football skills and learn from the best.
The clinic aims to identify and nurture young talent by providing a structured and engaging learning environment.
Participants will work on fundamental football skills, improve their physical fitness, learn the importance of teamwork, and gain inspiration from experienced coaches.
The clinic will run from 8 AM to 12 PM, Monday to Friday. Interested participants can register for the five-day event at a fee of UGX 200,000.
Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC has confirmed the signing of highly-rated custodian Bashir Sekagya.
Sekagya has joined the Kitende-based side on a three-year employment contract.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website today, Wednesday, August 21.
“Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC are thrilled to announce the return of highly skilled and experienced Bashir Sekagya to the club,” the statement partly reads.
Sekagya previously played for Vipers from 2018 to 2021 before joining Kenya Premier League side Wazito FC.
At Vipers, Sekagya will vie for the starting berth between the sticks alongside Jack Komakech, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, and Denis Kiggundu.
Sekagya becomes Vipers’ latest signing following the earlier arrival of Kenneth Kimera, Gusto Mulongo, Derrick Ndahiro, Pedro Sukuya Chimbiambiulo, and Nicholas Wadada.
Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants have confirmed the signing of budding forward Hudson Mbalire in the ongoing transfer window.
Mbalire joins the Purple Sharks from Kampala Regional side CATDA after netting several goals in a previous campaign.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website on Friday, August 9, 2024.
“Wakiso Giants is thrilled to confirm the signing of Hudson Mbalire on a three-year employment contract,” the statement reads.
The 19-year-old forward scored eight goals and secured 11 assists in the previous campaign thus catching the attention of Wakiso Giants.
The gaffer Steven Bengo expressed his excitement to work with the young exceptional forward.
“Hudson is an exceptional talent with a bright future. His goal-scoring instincts and vision on the pitch are precisely what we need to enhance our attack,” Bengo said.
Uganda Premier League side Wakiso Giants have confirmed the signing of promising forward Derrick Kaija.
The Purple Sharks confirmed the signing of the electric youngster via the club’s official website on Wednesday, August 8.
“Wakiso Giants FC is delighted to announce the signing of forward Kaija Derrick from UPDF FC on a three-year contract,” the statement partly reads.
Kaija’s football journey has been on a great rise as he managed four assists in the 13 games played for his previous side UPDF.
Wakiso Giants head coach Steven Bengo expressed his excitement about the new player before adding that he has lots of potential.
“Kaija is a young player with immense potential. His vision on the field and ability to read the game makes him a valuable asset. We believe he will fit in perfectly with our playing style and contribute significantly to our attacking prowess,” he said.
Kaija becomes the club’s second club signing after the acquisition of Zambian forward Eric Kabamba.
Uganda Premier League side Kitara Football Club has announced former Ivan Sserubiri as the latest addition in the ongoing transfer window.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
“Kitara FC can confirm the addition of midfielder Ivan Sserubiri,” the statement partly reads.
Sserubiri joins Kitara FC as a free agent following his exit from the relegated Gaddafi FC, which was recently relegated to the FUFA Big League.
The lanky midfielder revealed that his target is to become a better player than he was in the previous season.
“I’m extremely excited that Kitara Football Club is my new home. I see the squad is full of talented and ambitious players whom I’m looking forward to working with and adding to the club’s success. I also want to be a better player than I was in the past season. Let’s see how things go,” he said.
Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC has signed left-back Douglas Oyirwoth in the ongoing transfer window.
Oyirwoth joins the Royals on a year-long contract that will keep him at the club until 2025.

“Kitara FC, the reigning Uganda Cup winners, have bolstered their squad with the signing of left-back Oyirwoth Douglas on a year-long contract,” the statement partly reads.
Oyirwoth joins the Royals switching from the UPDF camp, where he spent four years playing for the Army side.
Oyirwoth reunites with Coach Brian Ssenyondo at Kitara, having previously worked together at UPDF, Mbarara City, and Synergy FC.
Douglas believes the expectations are high, but he hopes to settle and deliver at the new club.
“I am glad to be a player of Kitara FC. I know the expectations are high, but I also know my purpose here and hope to settle in well and deliver,” he noted.
Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC has beefed up their technical bench with Yasin Mugabi as a second goalkeeping coach.
Mugabi joins the Lugogo-based side on a three-year employment contract that will keep him at the club until 2027.
The development was confirmed via the club’s official website on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
“Yasin Mugabi, a former KCCA FC player, has penned a three-year contract with the club and joins the goalkeeping department as a coach,” the statement partly reads.
According to the club, Mugabi will work with goalkeepers’ coach Moses Oloya to groom and develop the goalkeepers at the club.
Mugabi previously played for KCCA FC in the 2014-15 season before he moved on to a number of clubs in Uganda and Zambia.
Currently, KCCA has three licensed goalkeepers, including Anthony Emojong Okiramu, Mutwalibi Mugolofa, and youngster Humphrey Oyirwoth.
Serbian gaffer Dusan Stojanovic and SC Villa decided to part ways on a mutual consent.
The shocking revelation was confirmed on Saturday, July 27 via the club’s official social media handles.
“Sports Club Villa has, today, mutually parted ways with its head coach, Dusan Stojanovic,” the statement partly reads.
“Stojanovic leaves with sincere appreciation for steering the club through a very tough season to its 17th League Championship.”
“The club wishes him well in his next endevours and thanks him gor his services. Coach Morley Byekwaso immediately takes over as the interim head coach,” the document concludes.
Stojanovic joined SC Villa on a three-year contract but the latest development means that it has been terminated.
This happens days as SC Villa prepare to take on Ethiopia’s Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) in the first roumd of CAF Champions League preliminary round.
But before, SC Villa will take part of the FUFA Super Eight where they are pitted against the Uganda Cranes Select team.
