Busoga Province and Bugisu Province played to a one-all stalemate in the FUFA Drum in Kamuli on Sunday evening.
The game was troubled by a heavy downpour making the playing surface a bit challenging but regardless action went on.
Like it’s the norm in the Busoga region, the crowds turned up once again to see that the sounds from the drum are heard.
In the 21st game, Isaac Wagoina placed the hosts in the lead to finally place the ball into the back of the net having missed several chances.
Bugisu tried to make an instant reply but Bugisu’s backline commanded by Bakari Magunda and Isaac Isinde hardly allowed a ball past them.
Five minutes past half an hour mark, Emmanuel Mukisa restored parity with a great finish to bounce back Bugisu into the game.
The second half was right as both sides preferred to guard their goal areas than commit bodies upfront so as to take up the lead.
It was a golden point for Bugisu away from home after suffering a 2-1 loss to West Nile in Arua last weekend.
The FUFA Drum will take a break of two weeks and return after the FUFA Super 8 business.
