Police take on Wakiso Giants in the Uganda Premier League encounter at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Wednesday.
The Cops will be looking to end a winless run of three consecutive draws when they host Wakiso Giants at Kavumba in their 11th league fixture.
In their last match, Police squandered the lead twice, settling for a 2-2 draw against UPDF.
This followed two goalless stalemates against Lugazi and NEC, stretching their search for a win since their last victory at the end of October — a 2-1 triumph over Mbale Heroes, which remains their only home win of the season.
The recent draw marked their seventh stalemate of the campaign, including three consecutive draws in their opening fixtures.
So far, Police FC have only managed two wins this season, accumulating 13 points and sitting ninth on the log, just three points shy of the top four.
Despite their struggles, the Cops remain unbeaten at home and have only lost once overall this season — a 2-1 away defeat to Vipers.
Police head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa is banking on their strong home record to boost their chances in this encounter.
“Now that we are at home, we want to correct the mistakes we made last time. We defended poorly in the last game, so we need to improve. This time, we want to perform well in all departments to secure the three points,” Mugerwa stated.

“We create chances in all our games but fail to convert them, but we have worked on that, and we are going out for revenge tomorrow,” he added.

They have suffered three defeats and made two draws in the five games they have played away from home.
