Vipers Sports Club moved to within a point of Uganda Premier League leaders KCCA FC thanks to a one-nil win over Soltilo Bright Stars.

Yunus Sentamu scored the only goal in the 7th minute of the match played at Kavumba Recreation Ground in Wakiso.

The star man of the game though was young goalie Simon Tamale who saved Caesar Manzoki’s second-half penalty and also kept out Milton Karisa's effort.

Bright Stars played the entire second half a man less after young center-half Ivan Irinimbabazi was sent off at the stroke of halftime for a second bookable offence.

The win took Vipers to 26 points from 11 matches, one shy of KCCA who host defending champions Express on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Bright Stars slide back into the drop zone following Police's win at Tooro United. Stars have 7 points after falling for the sixth time this season.
