The CAF Awards 2022 will be held on 21st July 2022 in Rabat, Morocco.

Ikwaput is in a field of 29 players and she is the first Ugandan female footballer to earn this recognition since the awards were started in 2001.

Ikwaput helped Lady Doves win the FUFA Women's Super League in the 2020/21 season, finishing as a top scorer and MVP, to qualify for the CAF Women's Champions League Zonal Qualifiers.

She was a joint top scorer last season in the league with 16 and was also vital as Uganda won their maiden CECAFA Women Championship at Njeru where she bagged six goals.
