Last month, MTN Uganda and Tooro Kingdom partnered to organize an inter-county cycling competition dubbed “Obugaali bwa Masaza ga Tooro”.

The competition officially kicked off on Friday in Kyaka County, Kyegegwa District with 20 kilometers covered.

The starting point was Kibuye going through Kyegegwa town, Kakabara, and back to Kyegegwa.

The race was classified into two, that is Ordinary Bicycles (Maani Gakifuba) and Sports Bicycles with Aziz Ssempijja and Alvin Mulindwa the respective winners.

The competition continues on Sunday, 31st July 2022 in Mwenge South, Kyenjojo District.

The race will take place in all the nine (9) counties of Tooro Kingdom which include Kyaka (covered), Mwege North, Mwenge South, Fort Portal, Burahya, Bunyangabu, Kitagwenda, Kibale, and Ntoroko.

The grand final will happen on 4th September 2022 with Omukama Rukirabasaija Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV flagging off the event at Karuzika in Fort Portal.
