Uganda Hippos have learnt their group opponents at the 2022 CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers for AFCON U20 Championship that will be hosted in Sudan.
The Hippos have been pitted in Group B along with Tanzania and Ethiopia.
Uganda will kick start their journey to defend their title on Saturday, 29th October against Tanzania at Al Hilal Stadium.
They will then rest for six days before playing their second tie against Ethiopia on 5th November.
The leader from Group A will face the runners-up from group B and vice versa.
The Hippos who have now spent 12 days in a residential camp at the Cranes Paradise Hotel, Kisaasi are expected to fly out on Wednesday morning for Sudan.
Under the stewardship of Jackson Mayanja, they will be hoping to defend their title in order to return to the U20 AFCON tournament that will take place in Egypt in 2023.
The Hippos reached the AFCON U20 finals in the last edition in 2021 in Mauritania, losing to Ghana 2-0. They were under Morley Byekwaso during that tournament.

- Group B: Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia.
