Fred Mugerwa, the head coach of Uganda's national netball team (She Cranes), has summoned 12 players to start preps for the Fast Five World Series.
Uganda will be competing in the tournament scheduled for 5th-6th November 2022 in New Zealand for the first time.
Seven players of the ten locally based turned up for the training on Tuesday and Mugerwa had much to say about their absence.
“On our first day, we have put our first emphasis on the rules of First 5, for instance, substitution, how to count goals and the center pass.
“This has given us a clear picture. We expect to end training on Saturday and we want to compete while in New Zealand,” Mugerwa said.
Fixtures
On Saturday 5th November, She cranes will open its campaign against New Zealand at 3:15am (EAT).
Uganda will again come back at 5:30am (EAT) to play Jamaica before fishing the day against England at 10:00am (EAT).
The knockouts and placement games will be played the subsequent day.
