Ugandan boxer Fred Zziwa is a star in the making and his hopes are now clear with sights set on representing Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Zziwa has lived in Australia for nearly seven years and has scooped awards over the years while doing his two favourite activities that is; boxing and cooking. The Uganda-born won the Australian Boxing Championships and he's now seeking a Distinguished Talent visa after being nominated by Boxing Australia. The Distinguished Talent visa is reserved for individuals who have an internationally recognized record and have made an outstanding achievement in a sport, profession, the arts, academia, or research. Zziwa wants to use the visa to achieve his dream of being an Olympian. "To be honest, that would mean the world to me," he told abc.net.au. "That'll be the most amazing thing that'll happen to me. "There's a lot of things that have happened, but I think that'll be the best thing to happen in my career in boxing." Uganda has sent 44 athletes to 14 Olympic games with specifics of - 1 female athlete and 43 male participants (including all possible medalists).
