Mwirusi, Baligeya invited for trials at Spanish club

Ali Ramathan Mwirusi cheekly plays with three balls at once

Two Ugandan footballers; goalkeeper Ali Ramathan Mwirusi and defender Simon Baligeya have been invited for trials at the Spanish entity, Villajoyosa Club de Futbol.

Based in Vila Joiosa town, Valencia city, Villajoyosa Sports Club is a fifth division side founded in 1942 (hosting their home games at the 4000 seater Nou Pla), Vila Joiosa).

Mwirusi is currently licensed at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club, a member of the first team after graduation from the KCCA Soccer Academy.

He had earlier travelled to France in 2022 and held trials at FC Vaulz En-Velin.

Defender Baligeya is currently employed by Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Mwirusi and Baligeya studied at the football powerhouse, Kibuli Secondary School.

For starters, both players were part of the football showcase exhibition for Team Fundi in Spain last season.
