Uganda Cup holders BUL FC kicked off their title defence by knocking out Sparks FC on Monday in a round of 64 fixture played at Kirondo Playground in Mukono. BUL had to dig deep to overcome the resilient hosts thanks to defender Hillary Onek. He scored the lone goal of the game, coming at the start of the second half. Onek made a good run on the right wing to tap home a well-weighted cross from Douglas Muganga. BUL FC won the Uganda Cup last year, defeating Vipers SC in Masindi. The Jinja-based side will now wait for the round of 32 draws to know their next opponent.
