It is squeaky bum time in the Fufa Big League as teams continue to fight for promotional places in the Uganda Premier League.

Mbarara City Football Club ascended to the top of the table following a 1-0 win over Ndejje University on Thursday. Forward Henry Kitegenyi scored the lone goal of the game played at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara from the spot ten minutes after recess. The win took Mbarara City to 44 points, one above Kitara FC who host Police FC on Friday at Kigaaya Primary School Ground in Hoima. Meanwhile, third-placed NEC lost ground in the race for promotion after being held to a one-all draw by Adjumani Town Council FC. Emmanuel Anyama scored in stoppage time at Paridi Stadium to cancel Tonny Kiberu's sixth-minute opener and deny NEC maximum points. The draw leaves NEC five points behind leaders Mbarara City FC. The result gives a chance to Police Football Club who are fourth to stay in the mix for promotion slots. Results | Thursday, 30th March
