  • Sunday, June 11 | FUFA TV Cup
  • Busoga College 0-1 Jinja College
Elvis Kigongo's goal was the difference as Jinja College picked maximum points on the road as they started their hunt for the FUFA TV Cup. Jinja College registered a narrow 1-0 victory against a wasteful Busoga College in the FUFA TV Cup duel played at Mwiri grounds on Sunday morning. Busoga College was the better side throughout the game and received the utmost needed support from the home crowd but was so wasteful in front of the goal. Both Nasser Kagoda and Bolton Dhikusooka had a chance to put the home side ahead in the opening minutes but their efforts went wide of either goalposts. On the other side, Jinja College converted their half and first chance in the first stanza hence taking the lead through Kigongo. Keith Okore delivered a darling ball into the area that was tapped home in an awkward manner before Busoga College's custodian Mathias Bakoole got in contact with it in the 44th minute. Busoga College nearly responded through a swift attack but Shafiq Nabangi's effort rattled off the frame with only a keeper to beat. JICO is now level at the helm of Group B with Kiira College Butiki that as well picked a victory against Namilyango yesterday. How they lined up  Busoga College, Mwiri XI: Mathias Bakoole (Gk), Ivan Ntede, Collin Kigooma, Daniel Onen, Lawrence Kiggongo, David Masige, Shafiq Nabangi, Emmanuel Wambette, Nasser Kagoda, Bolton Dhikusooka Jinja College XI: Tonny Andoa (Gk), Antony Sutta, Norman Gasuza, Peter Igomba, Higenya Bruno, Trevor Lubajjo, Robert Kyabafa, Keith Osore, Junior Kyosi, Elvis Kigongo, Sylvester Kaluya
