Uganda Cranes left back Abdul Aziz has been loaned out to Israel's side Hapoel Tel Aviv from Leganes CD.

The 20-year-old fullback has signed a one-year loan deal with an option to extend another.

The announcement was made on the club's official website on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.

“Aziz Abdul Kayondo, left defender cum winger from Spanish side Leganes has concluded terms at the club,” a statement by Hapoel partly read.

“He will sign a contract for one season with an option for another season, subject to passing medical tests,” the statement added.

Kayondo joined Leganes B at the start of the previous campaign joining his countrymate Ibrahim Juma (who was also released previously).

In the ongoing preseason campaign, Kayondo was part of the Leganes senior side that lost to Hapoel in a friendly game.

Kayondo impressed the Israel side thus scooping him onto their team to utilize his services.
