Uganda Netball She Cranes shooter Mary Cholhok Nuba is excited at the prospect of playing Netball in Australia following success in the United Kingdom and at the 2023 World Cup in South Africa.

Nuba is yet to realise the opportunity to move to the country like her predecessor Peace Proscovia who turned out for Sunshine Coast Lightning between 2019 to 2021, but she's hopeful it can happen.

The 6ft 7in superstar was speaking to The Guardian in a "deep" interview as she stated, where she revealed that she wants to become the "baddest shooter" if she ever got an opportunity to play in Australia.

"When I go to Australia I want to be the baddest shooter ever," she told The Guardian's Chloe Merrell.

Nuba is currently based in the UK, where she plays for Loughborough Lightning in the Netball Super League. She is originally from South Sudan, and her family fled to Uganda as refugees after her father died when she was six.

At the 2023 World Cup, she has been Uganda's top scorer with 137 goals in 153 attempts, and 89.5% percentage success.

Cholhok hopes by sharing her story she will inspire "the life of a young South Sudanese girl who might share the same fate."
