FUFA Big League side Lugazi Football Club has unveiled youngster Alvin Birungi.
Birungi joins Lugazi switching from Kampala Regional League side Ntinda United FC.
The pacy and agile forward was awarded with a three-year employment contract with an option to extend further.
Birungi shared his ambitions with MTN Sports, making it clear that he wants to cement his name on the big stage.
“I am glad that God has given me a chance to play on a much better stage than before,” he said.

“I will do all it takes to see that we perform and as a team, I believe we can qualify for the top-tier league. We have quality players at the club and am longing to learn from them and become better,” he added.
While at Ntinda United last season, Birungi scored seven goals and made five assists to guide his side to the fourth position on the Kampala Region log.
Lugazi will attempt to chase the ticket into the Uganda Premier League having finished fifth in the just concluded campaign.

Birungi’s arrival provides coach William Kyeswa with more options upfront and also adds pace and quality to his squad ahead of a busy campaign.
