FUFA Big League | Wednesday Result

• Lugazi FC 3-0 Ndejje University 

Lugazi Football Club registered a 3-0 well deserved victory against Ndejje University in the FUFA Big League at the Lugazi Stadium.

Sam Ssemugugu scored two before Derrick Mwanje added the other to give Lugazi a perfect start to the 2023/24 campaign.

It was the second loss for Ndejje University who earlier lost to Kaaro Karungi 4-3 at the Arena of Visions in Luwero.

In the sixth minute, Sam Semugugu set the game ablaze with a great finish to give the home side the lead.

Ndejje University was eager to restore parity but ended up being so anxious only to witness their strikes often finding the sky.

Six minutes past the hour mark, Ssemugugu scored his second of the day guiding home a loose ball in the area after Ndejje University goalkeeper Paul Akweny fumbled with the ball.

In the 90th minute, Mwanje added salt to Ndejje’s wounds with an easy tap in at the far post capitalizing on Mubarak Mitala’s delivery.

Next up, Ndejje will visit Police FC at Kavumba on Sunday, October 8 while Lugazi lock horns with Calvary FC at Midigo on Sunday October 8.
