Lango suffered a 1-0 loss to West Nile in the second leg of the FUFA Drum semi-finals at a game played at Greenlight Stadium on Sunday.
However, it was not enough to send them into the final since Lango came into the game with a 2-0 advantage.
In Front of their home fans, West Nile came into the game so motivated to turn around events with a comeback.
In the early minutes, Shaban Muhammed attempted an overhead kick while Rwothomio Cromwell’s header sailed inches wide of the frame.
Halfway through the first stanza, Emmanuel Obua made a goal-line clearance denying Alfred Leku whose header got on target while standing in a forest of bodies.
As the first stanza came to closure, Tonny Kyamera made a double save denying Shaban and defender Brigt Vuni from close range.

Shaban finally broke the deadlock in the 68th minute. The agile forward was quick to put a touch on Fred Amaku’s effort and the home side erupted in jubilation.
Six minutes later, Shaban’s header off Rashid Okocha’s delivery rattled off the frame before Obua made a timely clearance.
The backline partnership of Musa Ramathan and John Paul Acire was outstanding, giving a great shield to Lango’s goal area.

In the other game, Jerome Kirya’s goal sealed Busoga Province’s qualification to the final after beating the Teso Province home and away.
