Express returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory against UPDF in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.

Since the return of the second round, Express had played three games losing two and drawing one game. However, today’s victory brings to an end the poor run.

The attacking midfielder Joshua Musoke fired the hosts ahead in the eighth minute after being set up by Isaac Wagoina.

Youngster Kevin Ssekimbega opened his account as he calmly guided the ball past UPDF custodian in the 22^nd minute.

In the 30^th minute, Musa Ssali was stretched out of the field of play before he was replaced by John Assimwe 

Before the end of the first stanza, Wagoina extended the Red Eagles’ lead with yet another exciting finish extending his league tally to 10.

In added time, UPDF got themselves a consolation through Abasi Luutu Junior but it was too late to rescue any positives from the game.

The victory takes Express to the seventh position on the log with 29 points while UPDF lies bottom of the log with 10 points after 19 games.
