  • Rines WFC 2-2 Uganda Martyrs
  • Lady Doves 1-0 Asubo Gafford
  • Wakiso Hill 1-0 She Maroons

Kampala Queens were held by Makerere University in a two-all draw in the FUFA Women Super League encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

The stalemate meant that Kampala Queens had faced yet another stop in their works to defend the title.

The game started at a low pace since the playground still had patches of water making it hard to play the ball freely.

Teddy Najjuma gave Kampala Queens the lead with a well-weighted header and the hosts held on until the break.

In the second stanza of the game, the visitors improved their game and asked Kampala Queens several questions.

Sharon Namatovu levelled matters in the 74th minute with an effort from close range.

Ten minutes later, Namatovu put the visitors in the lead as she found her ninth goal of the season.

However, Kampala Queens restored parity through Lillian Kasubo who guided the ball into an empty net after miscommunication in Makerere’s backline.

This was Kampala Queens’ fourth consecutive draw, they now lie second with 27 points, seven behind Kawempe Muslim.

The point takes Makerere to the seventh position with 16 points as they extend further from the red zone.
