Tah Barni Kelvin's lonely strike guided NEC past BUL in the 1-0 victory in the Uganda Premier League at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday.

BUL put to waste a glorious chance of ascending back to the log summit as they lost to league newbies.

As NEC fans rejoice, BUL's faithful will be disappointed with how Tom Ikara brought back a loose ball in play only for his side to be punished.

It was a cagey game as both sides struggled to find rhythm in the game not until Tah Bani guided the ball into an empty net.

The victory dragged NEC back to the title talk with 43 points in the fourth position, four beyond log leaders Kitara.

Next on the menu, BUL will host Vipers at Namboole Stadium on Wednesday, May 1 as NEC will visit Express on Tuesday.
