  • FUFA Women Super League – Results
  • Kampala Queens 3-1 Lady Doves

Kampala Queens head coach Charles Ayiekoh Lukula was over the moon after his side put an end to their recent poor run.

Kampala Queens found themselves in a worrying state after going four games without a victory but registering four draws on a bounce.

The Queens of Soccer secured a 3-1 victory against Lady Doves in a FUFA Women Super League encounter played at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

In the post-match interview, Lukula revealed that putting aside pressure saw them return to winning ways and they will stick to the strategy in the remaining games.

“I am so happy that we registered maximum points. The truth is that we had gone four games without a victory and it was not looking good at all,” he stated.

“However the difference was putting the pressure of defending the title aside. I asked the girls to give me to give me the victory and they did so,” he added.

“The most jovial part about it is that we registered the victory but after playing sweet football, I hope we stick to the strategy.”

The victory leaves Kampala Queens second on the log with 30 points behind log leaders Kawempe Muslim who have played a game more.

Next on the menu, Kampala Queens will face She Maroons at Prison Grounds in Luzira on Sunday, May 12 before they take on Kawempe Muslim on Sunday, May 19.
