Lone cyclist Charles Kagimu will represent Uganda in the this year's Olympics Games that are being held in Paris the capital of France.
Speaking to the press, Kagimu revealed that he is eager to create a mark in the Olympics by finishing in a respectable position.
"I have prepared well and everything went well. We have about two weeks to the event and sofar so good," he stated.
"I have to keep safe and maintain my fitness level in the remaining weeks so that am capable of performing well," he added.
"This is my first time to go to the olympics so my expectations are not that high but I have competed in bigger events before meaning am familiar with some of my opponents."
"This is a prestigious event and I will handle everything as it comes so long as I stay fit until the race time I hope to perform well," he concluded.
According to Ssaka Bukenya, Kagimu's coach believes the cyclist has prepared well and is in good spirits because he managed to acquire his long sought for bicycle.
Kagimu will ride a brand new super Light-8 bike coutersy of the Uganda Olympic Committee.
