Kitara FC is set to face Al Hilal Beghanzi in the CAF Confederation Cup first-leg preliminary round on Friday evening.

The Royals will host Libya's side at Martyrs of Benina Stadium, Beghanzi, in their maiden continental outing.

Kitara's captain and right fullback Maxwell Owachigiu is confident ahead of the highly anticipated game against Al Hilal.

"The team is in good shape. As you are aware, this is going to be our first continental game, but with the training sessions held in the past two weeks, we anticipate a very good game," he said.

"The coaches have taken us through several tactics and how we expect to approach the game. Since we are the away team, we are going to work hard to get good results to take into the second leg," he added.

Kitara's backline will have an assignment of keeping Muhammad Shaban in close check, having faced him previously in the Uganda Premier League.

In the same breath, the attacking park that will be led by Denis Omedi is expected to drop in the goals and convert any chance that comes their way.

The aggregate winner between the two sides will take on Al Masry in the second preliminary round.
