Cameroon and Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has promised to return to Uganda for holiday with his beloved fans.

This was after Cameroon secured a 1-0 victory against Kenya in the AFCON Qualifiers at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Monday.

The victory against the East African country guided the Indomitable Lions to the forthcoming 2025 AFCON tournament that will be hosted in Morocco.

"I will be back (in Uganda) for holidays and we have more time together and do something nice," he said.

"Its amazing to be in Uganda. I want to thank the Ugandan fans for the warm welcome I receive last time and even today (Monday)," he added.

Onana kept a clean sheet that kept Cameroon in the driving seat after a closely contested game.

Cameroon will complete the qualification stage with an away game against Namibia and a home fixture against Zimbabwe.
