  • Women: VVC 1-3 KCCA (21-25, 28-26, 21-25, 18-25)
  • Men: Elyon 3-0 Police (24-21, 25-19, 26-24)

Elyon Volleyball Club secured a 3-0 victory against Police Volleyball Club in the 2024-25 National Volleyball League on Wednesday evening.

In the game that was played at Lugogo Indoor Arena, the youthful side maintained their perfect run, registering the third win of the day.

Elyon Volleyball Club got out of the blocks early edging out Police in the first set 24-21.

Police struggled in the second set with the reception due to Silver Owinjo's diagonal spike, thus trailing by six points (25-19).

Despite Police's fight in the third set, Elyon rotated their team but still came out of the contention with a perfect score.

Elyon Volleyball Club head coach Joshua Osia said it was a tough game, but their defensive prowess saw them through.

"It was a tough game, but I think today we had great defence and cover, which gave us the win against a good side like Police," he said shortly after the game.

"I am glad that we are improving as a team. Out net defence in the previous games has been shaky, but I am glad we have looked better today in that area," he added.

"It's a young team, and I expect them to make some mistakes, but it's a learning process. We shall keep working and supporting the boys so that we look better in the coming games."
