FUFA Women Super League side Kampala Queens has confirmed Ethiopian gaffer Asefa Firew Hailegebreal as the club's new head coach.
Firew has joined the Queens of Soccer on a two-year employment contract that will see her at the club until 2026.
The development was confirmed via the club's official social media handles on Monday, November 4, 2024.
"Kampala Queens is pleased to announce Asefa Firew Hailegebreal as head coach on a two-year employment contract," the club posted.
The Ethiopian gaffer replaces Charles Ayiekoh Lukula who was relieved from duty last week.
Asefa is an experienced gaffer who has previously worked with female teams such as Ethiopia U20 Team that clinched the CECAFA Championship in 2021.
After five games played, Kampala Queens are second on the log with nine points, four behind Kawempe Muslim.
