Maroons edged URA in a hard-fought 2-1 Uganda Premier League victory against URA at Prison Grounds, Luzira.

Baden Mujahid and Brian Omirambe were on target as Maroons sealed maximum points on the day.

On the other day, Bruno Bunyaga pulled back one back for the visitors.

Quick-footed Mujahid fired home in the third minute after being set up by forward Ivan Asaba.

At the hour mark, Rogers Kiwanuka was tripped by Faizo Matovu and the hosts were awarded a penalty.

Brian Omirambe stepped to the occasion and converted from the spot to double the hosts' lead.

Bunyanga halved the deficit after Denis Kisiriko's delivery caused trouble in the area.

The victory takes Maroons to the 13th position with nine points while URA dropped seventh with 11 points.
