Kampala Queens secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Lady Doves in the FUFA Women Super League at Katushabe Stadium, Masindi.

With seven played, Kampala Queens have now narrowed down the points gap to two points below the table leaders Kawempe Muslim.

Shamirah Nalugya found the back of the net two minutes into the game.

The skipper was set up by Peace Muduwa and made no mistake in front of goal to give the hosts an early lead.

Sumaya Komuntale made a timely clearance in the final minutes of the game after Kampala Queens' custodian was beaten.

Elsewhere, Kawempe Muslim shared spoils with Olila High School in a goalless draw as both sides failed to find the back of the net.

Wakiso Hill held She Maroons at St Mary's Stadium in a goalless stalemate.

Tooro Queens picked a big point from She Corporates after a tough game played on a water-logged playground.
